Min to be PC co-chair of ACL 2017 in Vancouver PDF Print E-mail

Min was invited to be the Program Co-Chair of ACL 2017, the premier NLP research conference, to be held next year in Vancouver in July/August. He will be co-chairing with Regina Barzilay of MIT and coordinating with the general chair, Chris Calliston-Burch.

Xiangnan, Jerome and Kaz scored hits at SIGIR 2016, with a full paper from Xiangnan entitled "Fast Matrix Factorization for Online Recommendation with Implicit Feedback" and Jerome and Kaz with their short paper on "Linking Organizational Social Network Profiles", which brings a nice culmination to his FYP thesis research from last year. See you in Pisa!

Min gave back-to-back versions of our group's social media research work on cross-network behavior and corporate social media use at SoC's own Natural Language Processing in Big Data Analytics workshop and the joint NUS / Tsinghua NExT Center's Web Science Winter School at Shenzhen, China in December 2015. Thanks to Bang Hui, Dongyuan, Tao, Jerome, Kishaloy, Jintong, and Kaz who all contributed to the work on this topic.
