Minzhi (Ella) completed her PhD in August 2026 under the supervision of Prof. Min-Yen Kan, Dr. Nancy F. Chen, and Prof. Shafiq Joty. She also collaborated closely with Prof. Diyi Yang. Her research focused on evaluating social intelligence in NLP systems. Her work contributed taxonomy (Social AI Data Infrastructure), datasets (Positive Reframing), and data-efficient methods (CoAnnotating, Decompose-and-Aggregate) for evaluating language models’ social intelligence.
