MOOC Wikification System

Abstract

MOOC Wikification System is a new framework for efficiently wikifying learning resources from the numerous and various MOOCs. It connects resource entities mentioned in the posts of discussion forums automatically to their actual locations, helping learners or instructors access the resources without time-consuming labor. To make resources easy to find, cite, and link, we design an easy understanding unifying address expression (similar to DOI) for each resource entity that comes from different MOOC platforms, on which the patterns of actual address(URL) for resources are varied greatly. This system has implications for both teaching and learning, by allowing for qualitative and quantitative interactions between learners and instructors.
